Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Haila ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name, email address, and profile details
  • Location data (when you grant permission) to find nearby venues
  • Booking and reservation information
  • Posts and content you create within the app
  • Ratings and reviews you submit

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Connect diners with venues in their area
  • Process bookings and send related notifications
  • Display your profile and ratings to relevant parties
  • Communicate with you about your account or our services

4. Location Data

With your permission, we collect your location to show nearby venues and allow venues to respond to your table requests. Location data is only used for matching purposes and is not sold to third parties.

5. Sharing of Information

We share your information only as necessary to provide our services — for example, sharing your name and party size with a venue when you accept their offer. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.

8. LinkedIn Integration

HailaTable offers an optional LinkedIn integration. If you choose to use it:

  • What we access: your LinkedIn profile name and photo, the Company Pages you administer, and — only when you create a post or view analytics — the engagement metrics LinkedIn returns for your own posts.
  • Why: to let you create and publish posts, share eligible HailaTable content, and view engagement from within HailaTable.
  • What is stored: your LinkedIn display name, account image, LinkedIn identifiers (URNs), the capabilities granted, and your posts' text, media and engagement snapshots. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored only in secure platform OAuth storage — never in a normal database record or your browser.
  • Approval: nothing is published to LinkedIn without your explicit confirmation. HailaTable will never post silently on your behalf.
  • Disconnect: you can disconnect LinkedIn at any time from Settings → Connected Apps → LinkedIn. This revokes stored credentials and stops future syncing; your historical HailaTable post records are retained.
  • Data deletion: you may request deletion of your LinkedIn-related data by contacting us.
  • HailaTable does not collect your LinkedIn password and does not scrape LinkedIn. We use LinkedIn's official OAuth and API processes only.
